Brothers From the Same Mother?

I can’t get over how much these two guys look like each other. If Doc replaced Scal with Michael Rapaport, do you think anyone would notice? Sure, Scal’s got a couple of inches (6’-9” to 6’-4”), and Rapaport’s got a few years (39 to 31), but there can’t possibly be that much difference in athleticism. I can’t wait ‘til Scal retires and goes heads up against Rapaport in the Celebrity All-Star Game. I mean, can you think of anything funnier than watching these two clowns guard each other in a basketball game?

But seriously, I think the Celtics might benefit from making this switch. Despite a Scal-ian line of 4 points and 1 rebound, Rapaport won the MVP of the Celebrity All-Star Game over the weekend for playing stifling D on 2-time reigning MVP Terrell Owens. When’s the last time Scal stifled anything (other than his own brain inside that thick red-headed skull of his)?

  1. In addition to looking alike, Scal and Rapaport share another common thread; they both are comfortable in their own skin (color). Every Celtics fan knows Boston’s favorite white boy sticks out like a sore thumb every time he steps on the court. But I bet you didn’t know that Michael Rapaport has appeared in music videos by Jay-Z and Ludacris, as well as on skits in Talib Kweli’s album Quality. He has also collaborated with Nas to direct a documentary on A Tribe Called Quest. I could see Scal and Rapaport teaming up to spit some rhymes on an upcoming Weezy album. Stay tuned.
